Purpose, Function

The check valve adjusts and maintains the pressure in the fuel tank at a constant pressure.

The check valve is located between the fuel tank and fuel-filler pipe.

The check valve consists of the valve, and spring.
Except U.S.A. and CANADA specs.

The check valve is located between the fuel tank and charcoal canister.

The check valve consists of the valve, spring, and umbrella.

When refueling, the valve is opened and the passage to the fuel-filler pipe from the fuel tank is opened to release air in the fuel tank.

The valve is closed to prevent pressure change in the fuel tank except when refueling.

When the pressure in the fuel tank reaches positive pressure, the evaporative gas passage opens to introduce the evaporative gas from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister.

When the pressure in the fuel tank reaches negative pressure due to fuel consumption, the evaporative gas passage opens to introduce atmosphere from the charcoal canister to the fuel tank.
