DRIVER’S/PASSENGER’S SEAT

Purpose, Function

  • The following have been adopted to provide safety and optimum driving posture or position for the driver.

    • Dial front tilt mechanism

    • Manual sliding function

    • Manual recliner function

  • The following have been adopted on the passenger seat to provide optimum driving posture or position for passengers.

    • Manual sliding function

    • Manual recliner function

  • A net seat structure has been adopted on the driver and passenger seats to achieve the following.

    • Provide ride comfort by blocking vibration

    • Improvement of holdability during cornering

    • Weight-reduced, thinner seat

Construction, Operation

Dial front tilt mechanism
  • The height of the front part of the seat cushion can be adjusted by turning the front-tilt dial.

Manual slide
  • The front and back positions of the seat can be adjusted by operating the slider lever.

  • The front and back positions of the seat and the height can be adjusted because the seat slider is located diagonally.

NOTE:

  • Springs are integrated with the driver’s side/passenger’s side seat to assist forward sliding.

Manual recliner
  • The front and back positions of the seat back can be adjusted by operating the recliner lever.

Net seat structure
  • Net cloth material with special elastic fibers is woven into the supporting parts of the seat backs and seat cushions.

  • With the adoption of a net with high vibration dampening effect, vibration has been reduced for improved ride comfort.

  • With the adoption of a net which has the characteristic of the occupant’s body, holdability has been improved during cornering.

  • With the adoption of a thin net instead of metal springs or urethane padding, a weight-reduced, thin seat has been realized.
