CANISTER VENT (CV) SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]
Airflow inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the CV solenoid valve. (See CANISTER VENT (CV) SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)
3. Inspect airflow between the ports under the following conditions.

Continuity between A—B |

When voltage is not applied between terminals A and B |
Airflow detected |
|
When voltage is applied between terminals A and B |
No airflow |

If not as specified, replace the CV solenoid valve. (See CANISTER VENT (CV) SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)

Should assume the voltage 12V (D.C.).

Terminals A and B is nonpolar.
