ELECTRIC VACUUM PUMP INSPECTION

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS.

a. Select “DataLogger”.

b. Select “Modules”.

c. Select “EVP”.

3. Select the monitor item “VS1“ and simulation item “VPS_FBK“ from the PID table.

4. Verify that the monitor value of monitor item “VS1“ is decreased gradually when the simulation item “VPS_FBK“ is performed.

• If the monitor value is not decreased, replace the electric vacuum pump. (See ELECTRIC VACUUM PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
