CAUTION:

  • When replacing a blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) having any of the following part numbers, it is necessary to replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) at the same time to perform the configuration normally.

    • N243-67Y80 C

Description

Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) malfunction

Detection condition

  • U1A4B:43

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) external RAM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:44

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) internal RAM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:45

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) ROM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:46

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) EEPROM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:47

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) monitoring system malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:48

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) communication circuit malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:49

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) voltage control circuit malfunction detected for 1 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:96

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (RH) internal circuit malfunction detected for 1 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U1A4B:43

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:44

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:45

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:46

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:47

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:48

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:49

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

  • U1A4B:96

    • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

Yes

Replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module, then go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED

  • Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
