Description

SiriusXM satellite radio antenna feeder circuit malfunction

Detection condition

  • The connectivity master unit (CMU) detects an open circuit in SiriusXM satellite radio antenna feeder circuit with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

Fail-safe function

Not applicable

Possible cause

  • Tuner and amp unit (TAU) connector or terminal malfunction

  • Antenna feeder No.2 connector or terminal malfunction

  • Open circuit in antenna feeder No.2

  • SiriusXM satellite radio antenna connector malfunction

  • SiriusXM satellite radio antenna feeder malfunction

  • SiriusXM satellite radio antenna malfunction

  • Tuner and amp unit (TAU) malfunction

INSPECT TUNER AND AMP UNIT (TAU) CONNECTOR CONDITION

  • Switch the ignition off.

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

  • Disconnect the tuner and amp unit (TAU) connector.

  • Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.

  • Is the connector normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the connector, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT ANTENNA FEEDER NO.2 CONNECTOR CONDITION

  • Disconnect the antenna feeder No.2 connector.

  • Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.

  • Is the connector normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the connector, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT ANTENNA FEEDER NO.2

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the antenna feeder No.2, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT SiriusXM SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA CONNECTOR CONDITION

  • Disconnect the SiriusXM satellite radio antenna connector.

  • Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.

  • Is the connector normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the connector, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT SiriusXM SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA FEEDER

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the SiriusXM satellite radio antenna feeder, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT SiriusXM SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the SiriusXM satellite radio antenna, then go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

Go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED

  • Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
