Purpose/Function
• The rotation speed of the manual transmission clutch disc is used for calculations as mainly basic information for the vehicle body damping control.
• Detects the secondary 2nd gear rotation speed which is constantly synchronized with the clutch disc rotation and inputs it to the PCM as a signal.
Construction
• The revolution sensor is located on the underside of the transmission.
• The revolution sensor has adopted a magnetic resistance (MR) element to the detection area.
Operation
• The signal, which fluctuates according to the clutch disc rotation speed, is input to the PCM.
