Removal
1.Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2.Remove the front shock absorber and steering knuckle component. (See WHEEL HUB, STEERING KNUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3.Secure the front shock absorber and steering knuckle component in a vise.
4.Remove the bolt and the nut shown in the figure.

5.Install the SST to the connection area of the front shock absorber and coil spring and the steering knuckle.

6.Rotate the SST90° and disconnect the front shock absorber and coil spring from the steering knuckle.
7.Remove the front shock absorber and coil spring and the steering knuckle.

Installation
1.Secure the steering knuckle in a vise.
2.Insert the front shock absorber and coil spring into the steering knuckle so that the front shock absorber bracket is contacted with the end face of the steering knuckle.

3.Remove the SST.
4.Install a new bolt and nut in the direction shown below and tighten them to the specified torque.

― Right side of vehicle: Insert bolt from front of vehicle― Left side of vehicle: Insert bolt from rear of vehicle
5.Install the front shock absorber and steering knuckle component. (See WHEEL HUB, STEERING KNUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6.If the front shock absorber and coil spring is replaced, inspect the wheel alignment and if necessary make adjustments. (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT [(US)].)
