Gap Adjustment
1.Measure the gap difference between the trunk lid and the body.

Standard Clearance

a: 2.0—4.0 mm {0.08—0.15 in}b: 2.2—5.8 mm {0.09—0.22 in}c: 4.1—8.1 mm {0.17—0.31 in}

• If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, adjust the trunk lid using the following procedure:
2.Loosen the trunk lid installation bolts, and reposition the trunk lid. (See TRUNK LID REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3.Tighten the trunk lid installation bolts. (See TRUNK LID REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.Spray or pour water on the trunk lid and surrounding area using a hose or high pressure water pressure car wash and verify that there is no water leakage.
Height Difference Adjustment
1.Measure the height difference between the trunk lid and the body.

Standard Clearance

a: –1.6—0.4 mm {–0.06—0.01 in}

• If the height difference is out of the standard clearance or the trunk lid does not open/close smoothly, loosen the trunk lid lock striker installation bolts and adjust the trunk lid.
2.Loosen the bolts, and reposition the trunk lid lock striker. (See TRUNK LID LOCK STRIKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3.Tighten the bolts. (See TRUNK LID LOCK STRIKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.Spray or pour water on the trunk lid and surrounding area using a hose or high pressure water pressure car wash and verify that there is no water leakage.
