1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)

2.Remove the following parts:

(1)Driver-side air bag module (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – MEXICO SPEC.].) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – MEXICO SPEC.].) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US/CANADA SPEC.].) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US/CANADA SPEC.].)

(2)Steering wheel bezel (See STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Steering wheel (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)

(4)Steering shift switch (ATX) (with steering shift switch) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ET6A-EL].)

(5)Steering wheel cover (See STEERING WHEEL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.While pressing steering switch tabs A and tabs B from the underside of the steering wheel, move the steering switch in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and remove the steering switch from the steering wheel.

4.Remove the steering switch.

5.Install in the reverse order of removal.
