CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM]

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
2.Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)
3.Measure the resistance between cruise control switchs 3E, 3F and 3G under the following condetion :

• If not within the specification, replace the cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM].)
4.Apply battery positive voltage to cruise control switch terminal 3N and connect terminal 3B to ground.

5.Verify that the LED illuminatates.

• If the LED does not illuminate, replace the cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM].)
