Caution

• When performing the procedure with a rear seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Removal

1.Remove the following parts.

(1)Rear seat cushion (4SD) (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)Rear center seat belt anchor (4SD) (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Head restraint

(4)Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.Remove the C-rings at the positions shown in the figure.

Caution

• If a C-ring is damaged when removing or installing the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to correctly install the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

• If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Note

• The positions and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.

3.While partially peeling back the rear seat back trim, remove the surface fasteners.

4.Remove the rear seat back trim.

Installation

1.Align the C-ring installation holes of the rear seat back trim with the C-ring installation holes of the rear seat back pad and install the C-rings to the positions shown in the figure.

Caution

• If a C-ring is damaged when removing or installing the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to correctly install the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

• If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Note

• The positions and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.

• Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

2.Press the surface fasteners from the surface of the rear seat back trim and install the rear seat back pad.

3.Press the rear seat back pad inward while pulling the rear seat back trim outward.

4.Align the rear seat back trim with the shape of the rear seat back pad while pressing the rear seat back pad outward.

5.Install the following parts.

(1)Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Head restraint

(4)Rear center seat belt anchor (4SD) (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)Rear seat cushion (4SD) (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
