• Using a utility knife with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using a utility knife.
1.Fully lower the rear door glass.
2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
3.Remove the following parts:
- (1)Power window subswitch (rear) (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (2)Rear door trim (See REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (3)Rear inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (4)Rear door quarter glass (See REAR DOOR QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (5)Rear beltline molding (See REAR BELTLINE MOLDING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (6)Rear door garnish (See REAR DOOR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
5.Connect the power window subswitch connector.
6.Perform the rear door glass preparation. (See REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7.Remove the rear door glass. (See REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
9.Disconnect the power window subswitch connector.
10.Remove the double-sided adhesive tape in the position shown in the figure using the utility knife.

11.Remove the fastener.

12.Using a remover tool, detach the clips.
13.Partially peel back the rear door glass run-channel.

14.Move the rear door glass run-channel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure and remove it from the rear door hooks.

15.Remove the rear door glass run-channel.
16.Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear door glass run-channel installation note.)
Rear door glass run-channel installation note

1. When a rear door glass run-channel is to be reused, perform the following procedure:
-
1. Cut double-sided adhesive tape of 1 mm {0.04 in} thickness to the size shown in the figure. (2)2. Stick the 2 pieces of double-sided adhesive tape cut in Step 1 together.3. Apply primer to the double-sided adhesive tape application position.4. Apply the double-sided adhesive tape cut in Step 2 to the position shown in the figure.5. Affix new clips.

1.Fully lower the rear door glass.

3.Remove the following parts:

- (2)Rear door trim (See REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (3)Rear inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (4)Rear door quarter glass (See REAR DOOR QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (5)Rear beltline molding (See REAR BELTLINE MOLDING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (6)Rear door garnish (See REAR DOOR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
5.Connect the power window sub switch connector.
6.Perform the rear door glass preparation. (See REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7.Remove the rear door glass. (See REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
9.Disconnect the power window subswitch connector.
10.Remove the fastener.

11.Using a remover tool, detach the clip.
12.Partially peel back the rear door glass run-channel.

13.Move the rear door glass run-channel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure and remove it from the rear door hooks.

14.Remove the rear door glass run-channel.
15.Install in the reverse order of removal.
