• Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. After assembling the front seat, shake it up and down and verify that the sliding mechanism on the both sides are locked.

• If cargo is put on the sensor detection area of the occupancy sensor, the sensor may respond.
1.Switch the ignition off.
2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)
3.Remove the passenger-side front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)
4.Disconnect the C-62 connector.

5.Verify that the continuity between the occupancy sensor terminals is as indicated in the table.

• If not as indicated in the table, replace the passenger-side front seat cushion pad. (See FRONT SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)
